FLEET MANAGER
Brief Description
The position Fleet Manager will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining all vehicles/equipment.
Hours
- Full Time position, year round position
- Monday – Friday
- Flexible start date
- $20-30/HR
Tasks
- Maintain trucks, vans, cars, skid steers, backhoes loaders (regularly grease and fuel, record all maintenance activities and follow preventative maintenance schedule)
- Safely operate all company vehicles and equipment
- Review and sort weekly truck inspection slips from drivers and schedule required maintenance.
- Inspect/diagnose and repair small defects
- Schedule major defects for repair
- Drop off/pick up vehicles and equipment from appointments
- Update and maintain in house fleet records, using spreadsheets and fleet software
- Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal transportation regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations
Working Conditions
- This position will require outdoor working conditions.
- Heavy lifting may be required
- Wage will be based on experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum full G Driver’s license required
- Must have transportation to and from head office
- DZ or Higher Driver’s License An Asset
- Experience with heavy equipment (CAT) An Asset
- Mechanic experience considered an asset

CARPENTER
Brief Description
We are looking to add another skilled and experienced Carpenter to our team at First Capital Construction. The position of Carpenter is a full time, year round position. Must have the ability to work independently or as part of team on residential and commercial projects.
Hours
- FT (40+), Permanent – Monday to Friday
- $23-36/HR
Tasks
- New home construction
- Renovations and repairs to existing buildings
- Rough and finish carpentry
- Window and door installs
- Flooring installation
- Cabinet installation
- Drywall installation and repair experience an asset
Working Conditions
- This is a permanent, full time, year-round position
- Outdoor and indoor work sites
- Heavy lifting may be required
- Wage will be based on experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Prior experience in construction, framing and installation of roof systems
- Can read and interpret construction plans including blueprints, layouts, technical details and drawings
- Has basic hand tools, tool belt and safety footwear
- Driver’s License required

SKILLED GENERAL LABOURER
Brief Description
The position of Skilled General Labourer consists of performing any combination of tasks required on residential and commercial construction sites as assigned by the site supervisor.
Hours
- FT (Monday to Friday)
- $19-24/HR
Tasks
- General labour tasks (Lifting, cutting, assisting carpenters)
- Site clean up
- Follow site and company mandated safety procedures and policies
Working Conditions
- This is a permanent, full time, year-round position
- Outdoor and indoor working sites
- Heavy lifting required
- Wage will be based on experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Drivers License is required
- Previous construction knowledge and experience preferred
- Safety footwear required
- Basic tools preferred
